VinFast Brand Health Report Shows Rising Global Awareness and Customer Satisfaction as EV Maker Scales Internationally

VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer expanding across Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe, today shared results from its latest brand health tracking study, covering eight consecutive quarters of consumer awareness, brand perception, and customer loyalty data. The findings point to a company whose electric vehicle brand recognition and top-of-mind awareness are accelerating faster than almost any competitor in its home market, while global customer satisfaction measured through Net Promoter Score, or NPS has climbed steadily as the automaker scales production and delivery.

VinFast Extends Its Lead in Vietnam's Electric Vehicle Market

The brand health tracking data confirm VinFast's position as the most recognized electric vehicle brand in Vietnam. Unaided brand awareness in the domestic market has reached 78 percent, with aided awareness effectively saturated at 96 percent a reflection of the company's local manufacturing footprint, national EV incentive programs, and dense dealership network. VinFast also holds a commanding top-of-mind awareness score of 46 percent among Vietnamese consumers asked which electric vehicle brand comes to mind first, more than double the next closest competitor. Awareness is climbing quickly in newer markets as well, with unaided recall reaching 41 percent in Indonesia and 33 percent in the Philippines, both markets where VinFast has opened assembly or distribution operations within the past two years.

Global Customer Satisfaction and NPS Continue to Climb

Perhaps the most significant signal in the report is the trajectory of VinFast's Net Promoter Score, the industry-standard measure of customer loyalty and likelihood to recommend. Blended global NPS rose from +12 in the third quarter of 2024 to +34 in the second quarter of 2026 a 22-point increase over eight quarters, driven largely by strong advocacy among owners in Vietnam, who post a regional NPS of +42, and among fleet and commercial buyers, who post +38. Southeast Asian owners outside Vietnam recorded a solid +22, while European owners were roughly neutral at +3. The consistent rise in NPS across nearly every region underscores growing consumer confidence in VinFast vehicles as the company matures its manufacturing and delivery operations.

Design, Innovation, and Value Remain Standout Strengths

Consumer perception data reinforce what analysts have long identified as VinFast's core competitive advantages: design, technology, and value for money. The brand scored 8.1 out of 10 on innovation and technology, compared with a category average of 6.9, and 7.9 on design and styling, compared with 7.1 for the category. Value-for-money perception also outperformed the competitive set, at 7.6 versus a 7.0 average. These attributes continue to differentiate VinFast from both legacy automakers and other electric vehicle entrants competing for the same price-conscious, technology-forward buyers across Southeast Asia and beyond. Industry observers note that this combination of standout design and aggressive pricing has been central to VinFast's ability to build category-defining awareness in a comparatively short window, a rare feat for an automaker still in its first decade of electric vehicle production.

Service and Reliability Identified as Next Growth Priority

The tracking study also identifies where VinFast has room to grow. After-sales service and reliability scored below the category average, and the United States remains the only market with a negative NPS, at -6, though it has improved three points quarter-on-quarter. Company data indicate that markets and customer segments with the densest service and charging infrastructure consistently post the strongest loyalty scores, suggesting that continued investment in service capacity — rather than further product or marketing spend — is the clearest path to converting VinFast's fast-growing brand awareness into long-term customer advocacy. The company has already begun expanding certified service centers and loaner-vehicle programs in several priority markets, part of a broader push to align the ownership experience with the strength of its product reputation.

What the Data Means for VinFast's International Expansion

Taken together, the brand health findings offer a clear roadmap for VinFast as it continues its international expansion. The company's awareness and top-of-mind position in Vietnam give it a durable home-market advantage that competitors will find difficult to dislodge in the near term, while its design and technology reputation provide a strong foundation for growth in newer markets such as the United States and Western Europe. At the same time, the data make clear that sustaining momentum will depend on closing the gap between product perception and ownership experience, particularly around service infrastructure. Analysts tracking the global electric vehicle market have pointed to after-sales support as an increasingly important differentiator as EV competition intensifies worldwide, making VinFast's current investment focus especially well-timed.

"These results confirm that consumers are responding strongly to VinFast's design, innovation, and value proposition. Our focus now is on matching that momentum with a service and support experience that meets the same standard, particularly as we scale in newer markets like the United States and Europe."
