Singapore Airlines Brand Health Report 2026: NPS Score of +46 and Second-Place Skytrax Ranking Confirm Global Leadership in Airline Customer Satisfaction

Singapore Airlines Brand Health Report 2026: NPS Score of +46 and Second-Place Skytrax Ranking Confirm Global Leadership in Airline Customer Satisfaction

Epignosis Insights, a Global Market Research and brand intelligence consultancy, today released its 2026 Brand Health Tracking Report on Singapore Airlines (SIA), consolidating syndicated brand-tracking data, independent airline-quality rankings, and the carrier's own investor disclosures into a single consumer perception scorecard. The report finds that Singapore Airlines holds a Net Promoter Score of +46, ranks second globally in the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, and remains the only Singapore-headquartered company on Fortune Magazine's list of the World's 50 Most Admired Companies, reinforcing its position as one of the most trusted airline brands worldwide.

Singapore Airlines Tops Brand Awareness Rankings in Home Market

Singapore Airlines topped Singapore's national Buzz Rankings for four consecutive years, achieving a peak average Buzz score of 44.3, the highest of any brand tracked in the market that year. The carrier's top-of-mind dominance extended into 2026: YouGov's Biggest Brand Movers analysis for January 2026 placed Singapore Airlines fourth among all brands tracked across Asia-Pacific, driven by measurable gains in Aided Brand Awareness, Customer Satisfaction, Quality and Consideration. Historical data also shows the brand's advertising converts efficiently into awareness, with a 2022 route-reopening campaign generating an 11.7 percentage-point jump in Ad Awareness within four weeks.

NPS and Customer Loyalty Analysis Show Strong, Broad-Based Advocacy

Singapore Airlines' Net Promoter Score of +46, comprising 64% Promoters, 18% Passives and 18% Detractors according to Comparably's customer panel, places the airline above the general airline-industry NPS benchmark of +35 to +45. The carrier ranked first for customer advocacy among its direct competitor set, ahead of Virgin America, AirAsia and United Airlines. Loyalty is strongest among travelers aged 31 to 35, while the 51-to-55 age band shows comparatively softer recommendation intent, a signal Epignosis Insights flags as worth monitoring given the outsized revenue contribution of older, high-spend frequent flyers to premium long-haul carriers.

Skytrax and Fortune Rankings Reinforce Global Reputation Leadership

Independent, passenger-voted quality rankings corroborate the brand-tracking findings. In the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, based on surveys of more than 100 customer nationalities, Singapore Airlines placed second globally behind Qatar Airways, having topped the ranking outright in 2023, and separately won World's Best Cabin Crew, World's Best First Class, and Best Airline in Asia. The airline was also named the sole Singapore-headquartered company on Fortune's 2025 World's Most Admired Companies list, ranking first in the global airline category, and was voted Best Airline in the World for the 36th time by Condé Nast Traveler's reader base. Epignosis Insights notes that this convergence across three independently governed rankings, spanning passenger surveys, executive peer assessment, and affluent-traveler voting, is a stronger signal of durable brand equity than any single accolade.

Financial Performance Provides Commercial Backing for Premium Positioning

The report links brand strength to underlying fundamentals. SIA Group posted record FY2024/25 revenue of S$19,540 million and record net profit of S$2,778 million, while FY2025/26 passenger volumes reached a record 42.4 million, up 7.7% year-on-year, with group passenger load factor climbing to 90.6%. However, H1 FY2025/26 net profit fell 67.8% year-on-year to S$239 million, reflecting softer yields, one-off items, and route suspensions to Dubai and Jeddah amid regional instability. Epignosis Insights cautions that brand equity built on service quality typically lags financial performance by several quarters, meaning current NPS and Skytrax strength reflects service delivery over the past twelve to eighteen months rather than a guarantee against near-term perception risk.

“Singapore Airlines is one of the rare global brands where three independent measurement systems, passenger-voted quality rankings, executive peer reputation surveys, and daily consumer brand-tracking, all point in the same direction,” said Abhijith Nair, Senior Research Manager at Epignosis Insights. “That convergence is what makes this brand health profile stand out, but the sharp first-half profit decline is a reminder that airlines need to protect the service investment behind these scores even when near-term financial pressure builds.”

Competitive Landscape Tightens Among Premium Global Carriers

The report's competitive benchmarking shows Singapore Airlines is the only carrier in the global top five combining a top-two Skytrax ranking, a leading home-market Buzz score, and a Fortune Most Admired Companies listing simultaneously. Cathay Pacific climbed from fifth to third place in the 2025 Skytrax rankings, while Emirates and ANA each slipped one position, indicating the premium-airline tier is becoming more contested. Epignosis Insights recommends that Singapore Airlines continue prioritizing investment in cabin-crew training and first-class product, its two most differentiated award categories, to defend its position as rival carriers close the quality gap.

The research also highlights that Singapore Airlines continues to post month-on-month brand-tracker gains even after years at or near the top of the global quality rankings, an unusual pattern since most premium carriers plateau once they reach elite status. Epignosis Insights attributes this continued upward movement to network expansion, loyalty-programme enhancements through the KrisFlyer and PPS Club schemes, and post-pandemic route restoration, levers that several similarly ranked competitors appear to have already exhausted.
